A-Bond gluing means every single glue line throughout the sheet is bonded with waterproof phenolic resin, not just the face layers. This is what separates true structural plywood from cheaper alternatives. BS1088 is the most stringent international standard for marine-grade plywood. Under BS1088, every single veneer layer must be free from voids, gaps and open defects throughout the full thickness of the sheet — not just the face veneers that are easy to see, but every layer in between. This is the critical difference between genuine marine ply and ordinary plywood that is merely sold as "water-resistant." In genuine BS1088 certified marine ply, there are no hidden voids to trap water, cause delamination or create weak points that fail mid-project.

Each sheet is bonded with WBP (Weather and Boil Proof) phenolic resin adhesive — the same adhesive standard used in structural and formwork plywood — which maintains full bond integrity even under prolonged water immersion, steam exposure and dramatic temperature fluctuation.
